Adding Tracfone Minutes

There are three methods available to add Tracfone minutes to a Tracfone. All of them can be completed with your Tracfone and pin number from your airtime card. This process can be performed from a landline phone, a computer equipped with the Internet, or directly from your Tracfone.

Scratch off the silver area on the back of the airtime card to reveal the Tracfone Minutes pin number. Some retail locations sell pin numbers printed on receipts. If you have one of these, locate the pin number.

Call (800) 867-7183 from a landline phone. You will be asked to provide your pin number in order to have the minutes added. If you call directly from your Tracfone, you will be charged for the call.

Add Tracfone minutes directly from the phone by accessing your main menu. Choose the "prepaid" option, and then scroll down to "redeem airtime."

Enter the 15-digit Tracfone Minutes pin number from your airtime card or receipt. If you've done this properly, the screen will display the message, "Units will be added shortly." The minutes will be added to your phone within about 20 minutes.

Add the Tracfone minutes to your Tracfone online via the website. Click the "add/buy airtime" button at the top of the page. Enter your serial number and click "add airtime." Enter your pin number at the prompt to have the minutes added.

Tips & Warnings For Tracfone Minutes

If adding Tracfone minutes directly from your Tracfone, be sure you have an adequate signal before entering your pin number or the transaction may not be processed. To find the serial number for your Tracfone, press the menu key, scroll to "prepaid" and select and scroll down until you see one of the following options: My ESN, My IMEI, IMEI number, or Serial number. Select the option and your serial number will be displayed. If your Tracfone minutes do not show up on the phone within 20 minutes, then contact customer service for further help and Tracfone Minutes information.
